Company Information & History
Cely Construction, located in Greenville, SC, has been serving upstate South Carolina since 1948. Founded by the five Cely brothers after their return from different theaters of World War II, the company was originally known as Cely Brothers Lumber Company, a lumber supplier serving upstate South Carolina. Evolving into a construction company, Cely became Cely Construction in the 60's, and has performed only general contracting since then. Still owned and operated by the Cely family, we are proud to continue serving upstate South Carolina's construction needs.
Cely Construction focuses on turnkey commercial and industrial construction, with a special emphasis on church construction and renovation. We have built an outstanding reputation in the upstate South Carolina church community for our gracious sanctuaries and dynamic fellowship centers. Serving many of South Carolina's professional communities we have built medical centers, hospitals, condominiums, governments buildings, school administration buildings, manufacturing facilities, and more.
Our capabilities range from turnkey construction to additions, renovations, fire and storm restoration and pre-engineered buildings. Versatile, experienced and skilled project managers can deliver the construction solutions your industry or business needs, no matter how specialized they are. And we have fulfilled some very particular needs including our recent project, the giraffe center at the Greenville Zoo! A challenging project, the giraffe center combined Cely's construction skills with the family's tradition of caring for animals.
